Goodbye Old Faithful
My heart is broken.
On Thursday Simba was put to sleep as his condition (CDRM) had got to the point where he had almost completely lost the use of his back legs. He wasn’t just a pet, he performed a very distinct role in the pack as protector and guard dog. Despite being 10 years old (as a rescue we didn’t know for sure) he was an eternal puppy, a very affectionate boy who loved to communicate in howls and grumbles, the only dog I have ever known to watch TV.
Soppy old bear – we all really miss him.
